Alex Merutka

Managing Partner

Alex Merutka is a serial entrepreneur and company operator with more than a decade of experience in digital marketing. Alex is the founder and CEO of Craftsman+, a creative technology company partnered with Meta, Google and TikTok. As the founder of Craftsman+, Alex earned a spot on Forbes’ “30 Under 30” for rewriting the rules of brand engagement.

Prior to Craftsman+, Alex was Head of User Acquisition and Programmatic at AppLovin where he oversaw $2 billion in ad-spend. As one of the first 20 employees of AppLovin, Alex played a critical role in scaling the company from a Seed stage company to its final private round which was led by KKR. AppLovin went public in April 2021 at a market capitalization of ~$29B.

Alex is originally from San Diego, CA and graduated from University of California, Santa Cruz with a BA in Business Management and Information Systems. Alex is a member of Young Presidents' Organization (YPO) and an active contributor to Bloomberg, Business Insider and CNBC.

Matt Forman

Principal

Matt Forman is a Principal at Node Ventures. Prior to joining, Matt was the Deputy Finance Director on a US Congressional campaign. Earlier, he was a Data Analyst at Stanford Graduate School of Business for five years. There, he utilized new technology and overhauled processes to help his team raise over $15 million per year from MBA alumni.

Matt is originally from Santa Clarita, CA. He earned a BA in Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a MPS from the George Washington University School of Political Management.

Beijun Luo

Venture Partner

Beijun Luo is a Venture Partner at Node Ventures. Prior to joining, Beijun was the Managing Director of Workplay Ventures, Mark Pincus’ family office. She has over six years of experience investing across various asset classes, ranging from early stage startups to venture funds, while also overseeing a general portfolio of over $1B in assets. During her MBA, Beijun worked at Obvious Ventures, focusing on food and agtech related investments.

Beijun grew up in Vancouver, Canada. She earned a BSE in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Princeton University with Advanced Standing, and a MBA from Harvard Business School.
